General wellbeing support

Hauora Support: Kaupapa Māori well-being support tailored to meet your needs, including clinical and non-clinical 

Matanga Māori: Wellbeing support from kaimahi experienced in Te Ao Māori, Mātauranga Māori, Tikanga, Te Reo Māori, Waiata, and Rongoā. 

Kaumatua Group:

Wellbeing assessments for kaumatua with a focus on technology in and around the whare, and other wellbeing indicators.

Wahine Focused groups 

Takanga O Marama:
 

12-17 year old females 

4 sessions (days change per term or during school holidays) 

 

A free 4-day wānanga that is aimed at improving our tangata whaiora wellbeing whilst learning alongside their whanau; by creating a safe environment where we kōrero about the following: 

  • Period poverty 

  • Te Ao Māori traditions and practices around Ikura/Waiwhero (Menstruation)  

  • Increase awareness about the benefits of and access to sustainable, environmentally friendly, and reusable menstrual products.

  • And an opportunity for whaiora to pay it forward by making a kono for the next rōpū (group)

  • Tangata whaiora will receive a wonderful Kono filled with amazing and beneficial goodies.  



For our Tangata whaiora who are 17+ years, we run a free 5-6 day wananga covering the same content mentioned above. 

Hine Tu, Hine Ora:
 

18+ Wāhine 

 

During School Term, twice a week 

 

A free rōpū to improve the well-being of tangata whaiora and their whānau by creating a safe environment that removes barriers for wāhine to exercise.

Hine Tu, Hine ora kaimahi supports entry/re-entry to exercise for those who have never participated in formal exercise or are returning to exercise.

Addressing mental health, financial, and other challenges, such as low self-esteem or lack of access to appropriate clothing, footwear, and other equipment. Delivering exercise groups for women only. 
 

We provide: 

  • Individual and group support towards wellness goals. 

  • Education and exercise that is specific and safe for women to flourish in all life stages.
